Loading ...Sorry guys, posting app announcements manually is just not paying off! A lot of developers submit fake “sales” (usually by inflating the “before” price) which is a pain and this site just isn’t drawing enough traffic to warrant the amount of work it requires to continue with the current method of announcing new price reductions.
I’m working on building an automated iTunes feed that will only display apps that have recently reduced their selling price so please bear with me while that gets built!

Hey Michael,
I work over at Portable Zoo, a game developer for iPhone apps. We have been scanning the app store and recording date to view trends and price drops. It’s pretty fascinating stuff. I can’t help but think that other people are doing the same thing. I was thinking if you could expand your idea to include view pricing trends for each game, as well as positions trends on the top 100 apps, and the categories for all games (this would mean saving data over months). Bundle all that up in a easy to use web interface, with maybe some nice ling graphs or bar charts, it could be a way to drive a different market of traffic to your site, without much change in the business model. You could even emphasize sales still.
Anyway, that’s my 2 cents
